Category: the Rant Board
Hey y'all. I got some shit on my fuckin' chest that I need to get off. It's about public transportation, mostly the Handy Transit. I've been fucked around for the trillionth time today and it's pissin' me off. Now I dunno if those assholes actually listen to their recordings before enterin' the trip times and shit into their confirmation system, but I requested a ride for 1:00 today in the PM and the fucks booked me for 9 in the fuckin' mornin' so the driver picked me up several minutes after 8. Well you can imagine how surprised I was. So anyway, I called to bitch and they're like "no we have you at 9." So I called in a couple of times to see if they had a cancelation. At like 12:30 I called and they had me on hold for 20 fuckin' minutes which is bullshit. Well anyway, just because they had me on hold for that long, they couldn't book me in, and I ended up missin' work. And you know what the kicker is? When I called to cancel my 3:15 ride, the bitch laughed at me. What the fuck right? But this is where your mouth is gonna drop open, trust me. It was 'cause they don't have enough vehicles. And you know why they don't have enough? Because everybody is goin' to the fuckin' casinoes to gamble their money. In my opinion, that's bullshit. If I were managin' that place, I'd make damn sure that Handy Transit is only used for work purposes durin' weekdays. 'Cause it's not right to abuse the service. In my opinion, everybody should have a job or be volunteerin'. I don't give a fuck who you are, blind, wheelchair user, retarded, if you can still work or volunteer, than quit usin' the service to gamble and hit the pavement! You know what I'm sayin'? And CNIB's not doin' anythin' either. I mean, I called January to do some mobility trainin' and I have to wait 'til March. I mean what do I have to do? Move out of this province to get some decent service? 'Cause it's lookin' like that. Fuck! Manitoba is horrid for Handy Transit and CNIB eh?
When I first read this, I thought maybe it was a news article or news bit about what transit system I can go on to get someone to suck on my balls, and then I saw it was on the "rant board" and decided that wasn't what it was about. Seriously though, those people who are disabled have equal rights to that transportation as you do. I've suffered at the murcy of retired people just messing around a time or 2 when I really needed to be somewhere, but that's just life. If your public transit system is really that bad, I would suggest moving somewhere with better transportation such as Toronto or Vancouver. From what I can tell about the Toronto underground system, it seems both reliable. I've heard good things about the Vancouver system, but have never used it.
I am highly amused by this post really, but I whole heartedly gree with the original poster. People should get a certain number of trips for work or education and certain number of trips for personal errands, friends etc. I think getting people to work, participate in society and contribute is what social assistance programs should be all about, not to help them go gamble somewhere or purchase liquor. It's fine to give them some alotment towards such purposes but it should be limited, may be twice a week, for instance.
If they have the money to go gamble they damn well have money to take a cab there.
Keep up the ball sucking service.
